2020 Season Cancelled

A final decision has been made by RSL Board,  that summer league swim is cancelled. I am sure that this decision was not made hastly, but is in the best interest of all the swimmers throughout the league. The Shark Board members continue to meet monthly and I will keep you informed of our progress for the next summer session.

Thank you,
Debbie Thomason

Registration Update

Registration has been postponed due to Covid-19. The YMCA, Rappahannock Swim League, and the Dahlgren Sharks are continuing to monitor the situation. No one has ruled out the possibility of a summer swim season yet. So stay tuned. Last years dahlgren sharks are recieving emails on the situation. If you weren’t on the team last year and would like to be kept in the loop. Please email us. Just let us know you want to be kept up to date!

Registration time is approaching!

Good Morning,
These warm days are letting us know that summer is coming. That also means it is time to register for this upcoming season!

The first in person registration at the Y is happening in one week on Wednesday, April 24th from 6pm – 8pm.

We also are offering online registration this year for returning swimmers. But it must be returning swimmers and we are asking that you COMPLETELY fill out the pdf and submit it with payment. Just go to the registration page on the website to get started. From there you can also see and order the team suit if you are interested. (Suits to check sizing will be available at the in person registration)

This will be our 54th season as a team. For those that don’t know, the team is older than the Rappahannock Swim League. What an awesome heritage. And we are bringing on a coaching staff that includes college level coaching experience. Our organization has been blessed and continues to be.

Looking forward to a great season with you all.

2019 Coaches

A big welcome to our coaching staff for the 2019 Season. Samantha Hunkele will serve as our head coach with Brant Landreth and Emily Bennett assisting.

Samantha comes to our area as part of a military family. Prior to the move she has worked as a college coach and as a special education elementary school teacher. She also swam at the college level.

It is looking to be another great season.
